Positive Share’s mission was not created with an intention for me as the owner to become financially rich. Positive Share was created with the goal that through dedication, honesty and integrity, lives would be richly impacted through positive actions in a purposeful way.
In 2001 my dreams were shakenned by the loss of my livelihood when my career, and the careers of over 40 of my staff were the victims of what corporations call “downsizing”. The following year after the initial corporate announcement of the upcoming changes was spent experiencing my staff in fear of financial loss, family medical challenges and critical changes that impacted their well considered dreams.
The stress of experiencing the painful impact of so many people was so overwhelming that I ended up in the emergency room with symptoms that emulated a heart attack at the age of 35. I had become so consumed in the caring of others that I had no time for my own fears, instead my fears churned into anger. It was as though the people making the decisions and giving directions were not even considering the painful impact that this change had created for so many committed mid-waged people and their families.
When life knocks you down lower than you’ve ever been, it can be an opportunity to stand up taller than you ever were.
After the downsizing was complete I needed an outlet for this pain and anger. I needed to positively contribute whatever I could to the world. It took me several years of performing community service, mentoring others in leadership and sales and lots of prayers. Eventually, that contribution became Positive Share. An inspirational online presence that cared about people, shared encouraging messages, communicated about overcoming life’s challenges and helping people live their best lives.

The opportunities for parents to dream and children to thrive are encouraged in this place called home. I wanted to make an impact that really made a difference. Our company eventually entered the business of real estate.
Today, Positive Share Buys Houses is a real estate solution-oriented company that “Dares to Care” about the people we serve and live within our communities. We love taking what is old and making it new again! We work with homeowners to find the best solution to sell their Southern Minnesota home fast and hassle free.
We believe it takes a village.
Our passion to provide clean and affordable housing for families has also encouraged us to care about the development, safety, education and well being of youth.
Our long-standing, caring commitment to community has been the foundation of our company’s success. We have been making contributions of time, talent and treasure in the development and support of educational opportunities for students, personal and career leadership development, community board support and clean-affordable housing for over a decade. We’ve found wonderful opportunities of service within our local communities and continue to practice our support in the success of our favorite causes and foundations–two of which are the Page Education Foundation in Minneapolis, MN and the Sanneh Foundation in St. Paul, MN.
